This new mailing list is a forum created specifically for teachers and students in higher education. Its focus is the quality of teaching and learning in higher education in the context of new and interactive media.
The parallel announcement and opening of the European Academic Software Award
'96, organized by ASI Klagenfurt, raises a series of questions that we invite you to discuss with us, e.g.
- How should "academic software" be defined?
- How should it be evaluated so that the results are not only valid and justifiable, but, most important, relevant for developers AND users of software?
- How do users of academic software find, test and finally integrate software for their teaching and learning purposes? ...
But of course the list is open for discussion of any other topic in this field as well.
