The program is mainly used in: Geography lessons in German grammar-school

federal states, geography and cities of Germany

Interactive program for learning the federal states, waters, mountains, capitales and big cities of Germany.In the practice-part a map of Germany is given. An arrow points to thequestioned federal sta ate/water/mountain/city. The user types in the nameand the program checks it. It is possible to fade in additional map information. The questioned name is given on request.In the puzzle the user can p ut together Germany or move cities or mountainsto their correct position on the map.In the quiz users can test their knowledge in a playful competition.Also,there is a part where data of the covered f ields are shown.It is possible to print maps for learning with the pencil.All parts work together to teach the material in different ways.The program is made for the use in German grammar-schools as p art ofgeography lessons from 5. to 10. class.It is a new way to learn material in school: it makes fun, it trainsthe pupils individually and specific. The pupils are involved in the material and focus their attention to it. The program supports the teacher.
