Smalltalk-based Interactive Compiler-compiler

SIC"95 is an educational tool for demonstrating compiling techniques.Technically, it consists of a scanner generator several parser generators,and different attribute evaluators. SIC"95 behaves like a a debugger for compilers: All the generated compiler components continuously display their internal states (stacks, partial syntax trees, current LR state and can be controlled completely by the user with the mouse.SIC"95 is a much enhanced version of an earlier MS-DOS-based system andis now available on most Unix platforms.

Remarks: SIC"95 can be installed on top of any VisualWorks 2.0 system.VisualWorks is available for a multitude of platforms includingmost Unix graphical workstations and MS-Windows PCs.We submit the installati ion files for Unix.In order to install SIC"95 you need about 5 MB of additionalhard disk space.
