Astrophysical Spectral Analysis Tool
This program, currently under development, is written as a part of a research project mainly looking into small changes in stars velocitiesin the line of sight. In the future it is my hope that it can n be used as a more general tool in student labwork in astrophysical spectralanalysis. In this version the program only correlates a reference spectrum with a observed spectrum and presents the correla tion function. It allows for interactive visual inspection of both observed and reference spectrum and after the correlation also of the correlationfunction. The peek in thecorrelationfunction reveals the radial velocity of the star from whichthe observed spectrum was taken.
