Unix Cockpit

The Unix Cockpit is a nifty multi-window X11 file manager. It hasfile browsers, viewers, custom menus, directory tree and a standardshell, much like a Norton Commander for X.

Hard- and software needed to run the program:

Computer type and processor: Many Unix workstations do (SGI is nicest, but Sun, IBM or a linux box work)
Graphic device: X-window terminal, preferably in colour. B/W works.
RAM: 8MB or more (program takes up between 1 and 4 MB i
Harddisk space: 5MBytes to unpack the EASA archive, between 1-2 fo
Other harware needed: None.
Operating system and shell: SGI Irix4,5,6, IBM AIX3.2.5, SunOS4.1.3, Solaris2.4, Linux-1.0.8, FreeBSD2.1
Other software needed:
Remarks: If you have the choice, test the program on a nice SGI running Irix5.2.
