State of evaluation: finalist
Submission Category: department project
Discipline: engineering and mathematics
The program is mainly used in: Telecommunication, Sytem design

Digital Communications Simulation System

Main contents:Orthogonal modulation systems: radio relay links, mobile radio links, satellite communication systems. Catchwords: PSK, QAM, channel modulation, multipath propagation, measurement instru uments, signalsources, cipher systems,Viterbi algorithm, convolutional encoding,spread-spectrum (walsh functions, pseudo noise functions), CDMA-technique. Area of use: Advanced and basic telecommunica tion systems, advanced and basic electronic measuring technicsTarget of group: Engineering education for undergraduate and graduated courses and forresearch.Specialities: DCSS is a micro world. It can be used for tutorials, directed studies, teaching, exercises, simulation of self created complex telecommunication systems. Digital modulation schemes can be simulated and their performance assessed. In addition, the package also allows the simulation of a range of measurement equipment for time domain, frequency domain, vector diagram, state diagram, eye diagram, and bit-error rate.
